Brass will tarnish with wear i.e. it oxidizes naturally with time and with contact to the skin and may loose its bright shine. A bit of cleaning once in a while can keep it looking as good as new. The acid in tomatoes or lemon juice/vinegar is acidic enough to remove the tarnish from your brass pieces. Soak/ wipe with any of these and use a soft cloth to rub the jewel until it shines again. We recommend storing the jewelry in individual zip lock/ cloth bag or box when not in use and avoiding regular exposure to water or humid climatic conditions.
